Master E {Sneak Peek Pt II…}
November 10, 2009B+K+W {sneak peek…}
July 25, 2009A few years ago a work colleague cornered me in the staff room and kindly insisted that I make her and her fiance my very first wedding clients. I did…having always believed that weddings would never be my ‘thing’. Thanks to her encouragement and confidence in me I have since launched my wedding photography and have loved every minute of it. Who knew that I would enjoy weddings so much and find so much joy in sharing those precious memories alongside so many sweet couples.
There is a point to this story. Promise.
7 months ago my first ever wedding client brought into the world this adorable little man. And, I had the enormous privilege of photographing him and his adoring parents. Check him out. It’s enough to make anyone “clucky”, notwithstanding…ME.

Aren’t these little lips just perfect?

And don’t get me started on these eyes…

Thanks for a great morning guys. And for gently catapaulting me into the world of wedding photography. I sincerely wish you every happiness.

updating blog…
July 16, 2009Just a quick note…I’m updating my blog template and plugins. Any weirdness is purely due to my lack of Wordpress skill and not your pc.
Thanks for your patience.
winter…
June 21, 2009I’ve been a bad blogger recently. It’s that time of year when the weather makes location photography difficult and I turn my attention to other things. Of course, I still manage the occasional outdoor shoot, but for the most part I’m shooting indoors, filling print orders, making up samples, meeting wedding clients and the odd bit of commercial work. I quite enjoy the change of pace and the variety of work that winter brings.
So instead of my usual portrait photography, I thought I’d share a couple of other things…
Firstly, if you’re a bride (or groom) and haven’t heard about this – the new Limestone Coast Wedding Directory – you’re in for a treat. This website is destined for greatness and I’m certain it will be a massive boost to local wedding vendors here in Mount Gambier & the South East. I’m a big believer in the shop local philosophy (for obvious reasons! lol) and the very clever people running this site have some great planning resources for couples as well. If you’re a wedding supplier, get on-board and if you’re a bride or groom and notice that your suppliers are not listed, give them a little nudge as the benefits will be well worth the effort!
And secondly, I had the privelege of photographing the newly opened Customs House B&B – http://www.thecustomshouse.com.au. This place is amazing…really amazing. The hosts have done an incredible job and have thought of everything. For those of you that haven’t heard of Customs House, it is located in Port MacDonnell and although this is the time of year that we tend not to think of heading to the beach, I couldn’t think of anything better than sitting by the fire and listening to that ocean rolling in.
If you’re planning a wedding, you may also like to consider Customs as a ceremony/reception venue. I’ve photographed a number of wedding in and around Customs House and love it. The light is beautiful and the variety that it offers (photography-speaking) is brilliant. The beach & jetty are just across the road and if you book the whole venue, you will have the option of shooting amongst the beautifully decorated interior. If I were getting hitched, it’d definitely be my first choice for both the ceremony and the reception and the honeymoon!

a micro-sneak-peek…
May 24, 2009I had the enormous pleasure of photographing a slightly more grown-up family yesterday, except of course for the sweetest little girl all dressed in red (below). I honestly love this job. Meeting people that are genuinely nice and sincerely happy. It is a joy each and every session.
I had hoped to share a few more images today, but I have the sniffles & may just take the day off to recuperate. I will certainly share more when my head is clearer.

Thanks for a lovely afternoon…it really was a pleasure meeting you all.

boys = adventure
May 16, 2009I spent my morning with these two little men. Master B kept me on my toes with his big personality and sense of adventure. His backyard is full of things little boys love…fruit trees, loads of lawn to ride around on, trees to climb and a chook pen! Looking back at the images you’d think we’d visited multiple locations, but these photos were all captured at the family home.

Check out the big brown eyes…

And this little guy had me hooked with his gorgeous cheeks and massive eyes.

His like a little prince sitting on his throne! lol.

Thank you boys for a such a fun & adventurous morning!

pre-requisite for being a {flowergirl}…
May 11, 2009Spunk.
And this little girl has it in spades.

This photo totally cracks me up and I love the opportunities that it poses for embarrassing her at her 18th birthday party! lol.

And {baby} makes 3…
May 11, 2009I had the pleasure of photographing a colleague’s lovely wife recently. It was kind of a last minute thing, but logically so as they don’t have a great amount of time till their little bundle arrives. It was a quick session. At home. And their enormous cat wondering what all the fuss is about. He’ll learn soon enough! lol.

Love this chair. Makes me want to go garage sale shopping.

I think this is my favourite shot from the session. In year’s to come I can just imagine junior querying Mum & Dad…’what were you thinking about in this photo?’

The cat at this point figured he might as well get in on the act…if you can’t beat ‘em might as well join ‘em, right?!

Isn’t she gorgeous. Wish I looked that good a couple weeks before I was due. Wish I looked that good at any stage during my pregnancies. Haha.
Enjoy your journey into parenthood, guys! You’re going to love all the fun and games that ensue…promise.
